It
happened again on December
21, 2014. Today, Samuel Warren Hackett Lodge's
Brethren and ladies gathered, as they have all these many years, to
once again put together, for delivery, the food and gifts that
they so
generously donated to help four families in need of assistance.
There were four families chosen
by Sequoia Elementary
School, and this year....Two others were added due to a truly heartfelt
necessity... Worshipful Jim Achenbach, PM, organizes this event
each
year and does such a wonderful job. It is Hackett's way of
helping to make a better Christmas
meal and some gifts for the children of these families.
The families are always thankful and often emotional which often is
contagious.
The Master, Wor. Robert Salini, does his best to get the volunteers to gather.
The Brethren were told by one of the ladies, to set up to have their picture taken.... And we know better than to argue.
Then we got the ladies to join us for a nice group picture.
The food for the families and the
gifts for the kids await sorting and assigning.
Packing is complete.
Signing the Christmas cards for the presentations.
The packages are tagged, addressed and loaded into the cars of those who volunteered to deliver the happiness.
Thank you all for your wonderful assistance
and we'll see you next year.
Merry
Christmas
