On October 15, 2011, Wor. Steven Laurvick, Master of S.W. Hackett Lodge No. 574 received the investiture of a Knight Commander of the Court of Honor in the Scottish Rite.  Wor. Steve is also currently Master of Kadosh of the Valley of San Diego.

In the words of Ill. David A. Haslim, Inspector General, Honorary 33°:  "This is quite an honor for Wor. Laurvick and reflects favorably on the hard work he has done, not only in the Scottish Rite, but also in our own Blue Lodge. This honor also carries with it a challenge: it also represents the expectations of the Masonic family for even more good work from him in the future.
